Wording.

Clinical

An aesthetic of deliberate neutrality: desaturated color, exact spacing, unadorned components, and copy stripped of personality.

Example usage
The compliance dashboard is intentionally clinical — users should trust the numbers, not enjoy the interface.
Editor’s note

Clinical earns trust where personality would read as bias — medical, legal, and financial tools. Anywhere else it reads as neglect: if users are meant to feel welcomed rather than processed, you want warm, not clinical.
