The behavior of an animated element traveling slightly past its destination before settling back into place.
Example Usage
Give the toggle a touch of overshoot so the knob feels like it has momentum.
t 56% · 113% — 13% past / drag to run the clock
Fig 1.7 Overshoot
Overshoot implies mass. A trace of it makes an element feel like it moved
under its own momentum; too much turns the interface into a cartoon. Reserve
visible overshoot for playful or weighty elements. It’s the signature of a
spring, and damping is how you keep it honest.
